We had a very special day last week when we reached our highest point in the mountains.  We were at Monarch Pass.  We were so proud.  The Oswalt Eagle was too and is with us in our picture.

The Oswalt Eagle and Ride for World Health Team reach Monarch Pass--Elevation 11,312 feet.

We have come down from the mountains and now are going to ride through the plains.  We can already see the land stretching ahead, and it is flat.  We have completed 1/2 of our riding days.  We are on day 27 with 26 days left to ride until Washington, D.C.

Goodbye Colorado.    Hello Kansas.

Hope you are having a great day.

Your friends,
The Ride for World Health Team

  1. Elisa asks, "Does Monarch Pass have a lot of Monarch butterflies?" Sara says, "You are risk-takers because you climb that mountain!" Jake asks, " Are you staying at a hotel or camping tonight in White City? How many days do you have left to get to Washington, D.C.?" Bobby asks, "How do you know you will get to where you plan each day?" Tyler says, "Today is my birthday! Good luck! Now how many flat tires have you had altogether?" Kirsten asks, "What state will you ride to after Kansas?" Joshua asks, "Does it take a lot of energy to go up that tall mountain?"
Stephanie wants you to know that we are doing a living museum and she is going to be Amelia Earhart. Krystal wants you to know that we made golden masks out of plaster gauze and they are hanging on the wall! She thinks they look rich! Mia asks, "How long before you are back in Ohio for graduation?" GOOD LUCK ON YOUR CONTINUED JOURNEY...STAY STRONG, RIDERS FOR WORLD HEALTH!!!!
